Not all who wander are lost

All that is gold does not glitter,
not all those who wander are lost;
the old that is strong does not wither,
deep roots are not reached by the frost.
From the ashes a fire shall be woken,
a light from the shadows shall spring;
renewed shall be blade that was broken,
the crownless again shall be king.
When friends betray us When darkness seems to win, we know That pain reminds this heart, That this is not, this is not our home… What if my greatest disappointments, Or the aching of this life, Is the revealing of a greater thirst this world can’t satisfy. What if trials of this life, The rain, the storms, the hardest nights Are your mercies in disguise?

When friends betray us
When darkness seems to win, we know
That pain reminds this heart,
That this is not, this is not our home…

What if my greatest disappointments,
Or the aching of this life,
Is the revealing of a greater thirst this world can’t satisfy.
What if trials of this life,
The rain, the storms, the hardest nights
Are your mercies in disguise?
